St. Tropez had been on my “bucket” list of places to visit since I was young. It is actually quite small, especially the roads to and from. This of course leads to some pretty bad congestion in the summer months. Of course being so popular, parking is also an issue. If you can find a space on the Parking du Nouveau Port car park then you need to be prepared to pay for it, luckily they take Visa etc. π
We arrived at 6.30am (couldn’t sleep) and this solved the traffic and parking space problems. We got a great spot right at the front near the Harbour, sandwiched between a Bentley and a Hummer π The credit card sorted the rest out later in the evening.
Early morning in the summer is a super time to be in the town. Still pretty quiet and a wonderful seaside freshness in the air. The cafes are just opening, you can watch the deckhands washing down the super yachts and even get some fresh fish from the market. Highy recommended.
Till tomorrow
